Pretty Little Devils by Nancy Holder is the perfect book to get anyone into the Halloween spirit. It is a great book to read when you are stuck inside on a rainy fall day, as it will keep you hooked until the very end. The book runs along the premise of a girl named Hazel who is  willing to do anything to become a part of the most popular clique in school, The PLD’s a.k.a The Pretty Little Devils. Unfortunately for Hazel, just as she gains a spot with the group, dangerous thing start happening. Hazel begins receiving threatening messages and texts, as well as people begin to go missing. This book is definitely a page-turner. It keeps you constantly guessing until the very end. It was written in 2006 though, so there is some 2000’s slang that is outdated as well as  some references that may go over some peoples heads. But this doesn’t hinder the book too much and it can be a nice throwback to a different time. All in all, I would definitely recommend this book if you are a fan of mystery and high school drama.
