Someone’s preference of pet is very reflective of their personality and view of the world. People who are usually drawn to cats are considered introverted and shy, whereas those drawn to dogs are seen as extroverted and outgoing. The pet that one chooses to identify with is very telling of their personality because those who prefer cats often stay home as it is incredibly difficult to walk a cat (learned from experience). Those who are more inclined to get a dog must take them out on walks and, seeing as how dogs are mostly sociable with other dogs, it forces owners to also interact with others. Cats may not help social expansion but they have proven to be owned by those of higher intellectual curiosity, as Denise Guastello from Carroll University theorized. Cat people often look for endearment whereas dog people often seek companionship and submission (Psychology Today). Now, if you are still unsure of whether you are more of a cat or dog person then chances are you will get along with both! Take this quiz by brainfall to see!
