Notes on a Conditional Form- the 1975

Following the critical acclaim and success of their third studio album, “A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships”, the 1975 have a follow-up to their late November endeavor, produced by London-based record company Dirty Hit. Described as a ‘nighttime record’, the first single is set to hit sometime in February. The band’s “Drive Like I Do” song “28” will also appear on their second album this year. Not much is known other than that, except for the fact the band is striving to have the album out by June 1st.

Yandhi- Kanye West

Over recent months, Kanye West has become a polarizing figure through his public endorsement of Donald Trump and addressing the state of his mental health on his latest EP, “Ye”. Known as the follow-up to “Yeezus”, “Yandhi” has quite a few confirmed collaborators, like XXXTentacion, 6ix9ine, Migos, Ty Dolla Sign, and has once again collaborated with the famed Yeezus producer Rick Rubin. West announced the album to release on September 29th of 2018, but after performing with “Kids See Ghosts” collaborator Kid Cudi, he announced his album, naturally, would be delayed. As of now, there is no confirmed release date outside of this year.

Late Night Feelings- Mark Ronson

The Hollywood-loved producer is responsible for albums the likes of Lady Gaga’s “Joanne”, Taylor Swift’s “1989”, and Adele’s “25” among many others. The lead single from the album, “Nothing Breaks Like A Heart”, featuring pop-idol Miley Cyrus dropped Nov. 29, to only rave reviews. Ronson describes the album as “a DJ breakup album” with “sad bangers”. When asked about his process, Ronson told Interview magazine: “Everything always comes from the beat, whether it’s a live drum or a program beat on a drum machine. It’s always the groove first, and then we build the song on it.” Other features and collaborators include King Princess, Lykke Li and Ilsey Juber. So far, the producer that has his own Wikipedia page for his awards and nominations has not revealed any release dates.

Father of the Bride- Vampire Weekend

Vampire Weekend’s last album, “Modern Vampires of the City”, debuted in 2013 to rave reviews and praise from critics around the globe. They went on one tour and then vanished, only to show up six years later with a collection of songs set to release in 2019. In January, the folksy “Harmony Hall” was released, derivative of their previous single “Diane Young”. They then sampled Japanese musician Haruomi Hosono on the track “2021”, a subtle electronic track with soft isolated vocals. So far, this album seems to be nothing out of the ordinary for the group – better than the last.

Rap or Go to the League- 2 Chainz

Following his hit album “Pretty Girls Like Trap Music”, which featured a promotion in the form of a pink trap house in Atlanta that drew fans from across the nation, “Rap or Go to the League” is set to arrive Mar. 1 of this year. Surprisingly, LeBron James is set to assist. With recent drops like “Hot Wings”, “Bigger Than You”, and “Girl’s Best Friend”, this forthcoming album is set to live up to all the hype it’s receiving. As the rapper wrote on twitter: “It’s been quite the journey to get here. All night studio sessions, reflecting, & opening up on these records or as I call it therapy! This is my each one teach one body of work, I wanna celebrate black excellence! ….. “Rap Or Go To The League” the album A&R by @KingJames 3/1” @2chainz
