Lion King is one of the most loved movies of all time and, when the public learned about its new release in live action, many wonder how it would turn out and it if the movie would be a flop. Lion King Live Action released on Jul. 19, 2019, and made around 185 million dollars. The movie received at 53% for rotten tomatoes and 7.1 on IMDb. Helen O’Hara from Empire stated, “The circle of life has thrown up gorgeous, star-studded story, but trading feeling for realism means that we lose something from the original film’s excellence.” Other critics including Sify Movies says, “ Jon Favreau’s The Lion King delivers major nostalgia with award-worthy, stunning VFX but misses out on the emotion and soul of the original movie.” However, I would recommend this movie for families and all ages.
