NFC Wild Card Round Wrapup

Minnesota Vikings 26, New Orleans Saints 20 (OT)

Saints fans spent the majority of the last offseason seething over a missed pass interference call in the 2019 NFC Championship. Their antics ranged from installing a billboard in Atlanta titled “Bleaux Dat”, to Louisiana Congressmen wasting their colleagues’ time in DC, to instituting challenges for suspected pass interferences. All this was in vain however, as the Saints completely collapsed, turning the ball over twice (The Saints had turned the ball over twice all year) and generally having no answers for the Vikings’ defense. The Vikings eventually won in overtime, on a dime from Kirk Cousins to Kyle Rudolph. Sorry Saints fans, you can’t blame the refs this time. The Vikings will travel to San Francisco to take on the 49ers, who have one of the best defenses in football.

Seattle Seahawks 17, Philadelphia Eagles 9

Not much to say here. The Eagles entered the playoffs hopelessly injured, fresh off a lackluster NFC East Division title. Marshawn Lynch continued his incredible return to professional football, punching it in from the 1. Rookie wide receiver DK Metcalf added another touchdown to put the game out of reach. The Seahawks will travel to Green Bay to take on the Packers, the first time the two teams have met in the playoffs since Seattle’s incredible comeback six years prior.
