Recently, I have changed up what I am eating. You may think that I am on a diet, but no, I am not on a diet and don’t believe in them, either.

I have made a lifestyle change. I am no longer eating meat, only fish. The reason why I have done this is because of the way animals are treated before they are slaughtered. I am not going to go into detail, but I was horrified when learning about it.

I have been pescatarian for about a month and I have noticed some changes in my body. I have observed I am less bloated, most of the time. I have also noticed that my skin is clearer. This may be because of the omega-3 fatty acids that are found in most types of fish.

The hardest part about this change is getting enough protein in my body as I am very active. In the mornings, I add a scoop of protein powder to my breakfast oats, which helps boost my protein intake. For lunch, I have subbed tofu or canned tuna instead of chicken. For dinner, I like to have fish or beans as my protein. Fish is very high in protein and contains more nutrients than some meats.

Overall, I am happy with the changes I have made to my lifestyle. I am not saying that you should stop eating meat, but it is not bad to try new sources of protein. You may discover a new favorite food!
