ST Augustine is a great place for vacation! (Credit: Grady Johnson)

Florida is known for its wonderful lifestyle of Bahama shirts and warm weather. It is most notable for the admirable and awe-inspiring beaches as well but there are also a lot of neat places for people to settle down, a destination such as St. Augustine Florida is perfect. St. Augustine is located near the far northeastern corner of Florida. When I had gone with my family back in 2015, we had visited the historic fountain of youth which is a fountain where it is supposed to restore the youth of anyone who drinks the water. As this was only a myth it was still very fun at a young age to believe in it.

Not only did my family and I go to the historic fountain of youth, but we had gone to a place called Castillo de San Marcos National Monument. It is the oldest masonry fort in the continental United States; it is located on the western shore of Matanzas Bay in the city of St. Augustine. It was a very neat place not only that it was super old but because of all the history around the structures and how they had been standing for so long. The tickets were 15 dollars, but it was totally worth it due to seeing the oldest surviving masonry fortress.

St. Augustine Florida is a very chilled and relaxed place. If you and your family are looking to go to a historic and very neat place for a vacation, I highly recommend checking it out.
