Are iPhone users taking advantage of the new feature “Screentime” to improve their phone usage?

Multi-billion dollar phone company, Apple, sent out an alert informing its consumers about the new app that could help people manage their daily usage on their phones. This setting shows you how many hours you’re on your phone per day, what apps you spend most of your time on and how your current time differs from your time the past week.
“I do not use the Screen Time feature on my iPhone. I’m actually just hearing about it now, but it is something that I definitely want to try out to remind me when I need to put my phone down,” said Bessma Abutunis, junior.
“I do see myself using this. Controlling my time on my phone is extremely important to me and it’s time that I start being held accountable for my over-usage of my phone. I spend most of my time on social media. I’m pretty sure I have attachment issues with keeping up with my social media. This is why I’m going to start using this app, because I feel like it’s going to help me disconnect from the outside world and things that are distracting, so I can start putting my time towards things that are productive,” replied Bessma when asked about if she would use the feature in the future.
“I use screen time often because it helps me manage my time on my device. If I realize and/or get a notification that I’m on my phone for an excessive amount of time, I’ll limit my time on that specific app,” states Jadis Willis, junior.
“I feel that if I start to limit and balance my time on apps after noticing the time I’ve spent on it, it’ll become a natural habit of me not spending as much time on my phone or social media apps,” replied Jadis when asked about if she will continue to use the app. “This new feature is very helpful. People start to really learn how to balance their time wisely.”
