The step team is back!

Step team is back! Many have been focused on the dance team and now the step team can again find glory with their moves. This is their first year and the whole school is happy that we have something for everyone and we can begin to make memories for future generations. They had some conflicts regarding practice space, and had to postpone rehearsals for a while after they gained a lot of attention through performing at our pep rallies.  With the limited number of pep rallies at our school having the chance to walk out on the court in front of the school is rare and probably one of the best feelings as a student at Roswell. The step team has said that “being in front of the whole school performing puts a lot of pressure on us to do our best; we still love it,” stated Joseph Bowie, sophmore. This is completely understandable, especially when there’s chances for mistakes. After a couple of months, many were wondering what had happened to the step team.

“We never really stopped. The rest of the officers and I were still researching and choreographing new steps for when our halt came to an end,” said Bowie, when asked about the future of the team.

“We weren’t allowed to practice after school in the building due to a mishap one day at practice with people that weren’t supposed to be there, but we’re back and better than ever now!” said Bowie.  The team does not have anything going on right now, but hopefully they will have a chance to perform in next pep-rally. “We still need to speak to Mrs. Hartigan but, yes, we plan on performing at the next pep rally,” stated Bowie.
