“Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled” is an upcoming kart racing video game that is developed by Beenox and published by Activision. The game will be released on Jun. 21 for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and XBOX ONE. The game is a remastered version of “Crash Team Racing” and will contain elements from “Crash Team Racing’s” indirect successor, “Crash Nitro Kart”.

Prior to the announcement, it was reported that, shortly after the release of “Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy”, a remastered collection of the first three Crash Bandicoot games (“Crash Bandicoot”, “Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back” and “Crash Bandicoot: Warped”), people have speculated that there would be more remastered versions of the previous Crash Bandicoot games. This also has included “Crash Team Racing”, which was released in 1999 for the PlayStation. After receiving numerous questions asking whether previous titles will have a remastered version, the idea of a remaster of “Crash Team Racing” has been brought to life on Dec. 6 last year at The Game Awards.

Like “Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy”, “Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled” was built from scratch with new assets, online gameplay and new content along with content from “Crash Nitro Kart”, such as tracks, battle arenas, kart customizations and combat modes. Nitros Oxide, who was the antagonist of “Crash Team Racing”, will be playable once unlocked. But if anyone has the “Nitros Oxide Edition”, they can play as Crunch Bandicoot, who will make his first appearance since “Crash: Mind Over Mutant”, Zem and Zam from “Crash Nitro Kart”, and star skins for Crash, Coco, Dr. Cortex and Nitros Oxide. Crunch will also have a robotic skin. If anyone has the PlayStation 4 version of the game, then the player will receive polygonal skins for Crash, Coco and Dr. Cortex.

I would recommend this game for any racing fans, anyone who likes remastered games and especially all the Crash Bandicoot fans out there. You can’t call yourself a hardcore fan unless you play the game. Now, anyone up for a modernized “Crash Team Racing”/”Crash Nitro Kart” hybrid game?
