Respect the fashion grind, baby!

Fancy, flashy, casual, and everything in between: style is very important to students. Photo Credit: UnSplash

While Roswell does enforce dress code, there is not a specific uniform, which allows students to express themselves creatively through outfit choices. Most of the student body opts for comfort over style, but having the option to look however you want is still a very important aspect of everyday life, especially for teenagers.

Senior Bridget Frame says that “I feel more comfortable being able to wear what I want, and I get more respect when I’m myself and pulled together.”

Personally, I have a bold style and I wouldn’t feel like myself without it.

Dress codes do serve some purpose, but freedom of self-expression through clothing is a necessity and should be more widely respected in schools.
