Lake Lanier is an incredible lake in the northern portion of Georgia.

This lake was created by the completion of Buford Dam on the Chattahoochee River in 1956. This  means that the lake is man-made.

The lake encompasses 38,000 acres (150 km2) or 59 square miles of water. The lake ecompasses Hall, Forsyth, Dawson, Gwinnett, and Lumpkin counties.

One fun thing about this lake is that it contains a lot of resorts, parks, waterparks and campsites.

I hope you visit this incredible place and I hope you like it!
