For some, quarantine is a much-needed break from the chaos of daily life. For others, it is a struggle of loneliness and isolation. However, it doesn’t have to be that way! Quarantine is an unusual, uncertain time for the world, so make the best of it and do all the things you’ve been meaning to ‘get around to.’ Here is a list of fun things to do while cooped up in your house:

  1. Bake delicious foods. Make interesting dinners or try out new recipes! This is the perfect time to experiment.
  2. Compile a list of all the things that make you happy. This can be a burst of positivity in a time that doesn’t feel so positive.
  3. Send a text or email to the people you miss. It can be hard not to see people you are accustomed to seeing every day, so let them know you are thinking of them.
  4. Or…. instead of a text, you could channel your inner grandma and write letters! They can be full of the most meaningless information, like what you ate for breakfast or what you’re thinking about, and still be sweet and meaningful!
  5. Hop on the various social media trends and make TikToks, write encouraging phrases on your driveway with sidewalk chalk, tag 10 beautiful, inspiring women, send little notes to nursing homes, etc.

Try to look at quarantine as a good thing, a time to rest and enjoy. If you are able, #stayhome and fulfill your duty as a responsible, considerate citizen.
