Dayglow has finally returned with a new single “Close to You”

For the first time in three years, Dayglow (Sloan Struble), has finally made another appearance in the musical world. His first album “Fuzzy Brain” was released in 2018, starting his adventurous career into the indie/alternative music genre. We hadn’t heard from him since and now he’s back with a single!

I am obsessed with Dayglow’s “Fuzzy Brain” debut. I had just recently discovered this album when I had gotten into listening to indie music and since then I have always been a fan of Struble’s music. Dayglow’s music is always so uplifting and positive and has the most chill beat to it, so I was not surprised to see that the outcome of his new single didn’t disappoint.

Dayglow wanted to start 2021 off right by releasing “Close to You” on January 11th. In this emotional song, Sloan sings about being at a party having tension with someone else but they never had a chance to talk to each other. He adds the feeling of excitement that builds up in your body about the person and how it never really comes out until the moment you look at them. That’s when your emotions begin to flow. These emotions add maturity and moving words into “Close to You”, which brings the song to life.

Only being less than a year into his 20’s, Sloan sticks to the challenges of being the glue holding his music career together. He sings, song writes, produces, and performs all on his own from his home in Austin, Texas. Working alone, he accomplished getting his hit song, “Can I Call You Tonight?”, on the top five at many radio formats. It also had more than 170 Million streams worldwide! Dayglow has a hugely successful future set up for him in the music industry and I’m thrilled to watch him grow as an artist and hopefully see more music soon.
