Music is one of my favorite things ever, especially when it’s live. Before going to see Tame Impala, I was expecting the average concert consisting of lights, great visuals, and my favorite songs, but my experience ended up being unlike anything I had ever seen before. Not only was it an extravagant show, but it was truly life changing.

Tame Impala performed in Atlanta on Sept. 28 in one of the favored venues in the area, State Farm Arena. His shows revolve around his psychedelic personality, and he thinks of it as he is in the audience, incorporating the most epic details he can think of. Confetti, lasers, and light shows took over the arena as if it were way more than just a concert. Videos that made the audience feel like they were going on a journey were played behind the songs also enhanced the experience.

Towards the end of the show the best performance occurred during the song, “New Person, Same Old Mistakes,” accompanied by confetti and colorful lasers overtaking the venue. The crowd went wild, catching confetti and jumping around. I caught two pieces even from the section 100 seats. The whole show was executed perfectly and was truly the best concert I’ve attended yet.
