Recently, the Fulton County Board of Health joined the “Say Yes!” COVID Test Initiative. They have partnered up with the Center for Disease Control, and the National Institute of Health to send out COVID-19 test kits. The kits will be sent out to certain zip codes that have shown increases in positive COVID rates and have low vaccination rates. Here are the current zip codes that will receive the test kits first through their online orders, 30291, 30213, 30268, 30303, 30308, 30311, 30310, 30314, 30312, 30315, 30318, 30331, 30336, 30344, 30354, 30337, 30349, 30363.

The test kits are free, and FDA approved. Also, Fulton recommends that those who receive test kits use them twice a week for accurate results. This will help slow down the spread of COVID and keep others safe. One pro of the newly delivered kits is that you do not have to drive anywhere, so you can administrate the test yourself in the comfort of your home, unless you want to pick one up at a Fulton County Board of Health clinics. This is beneficial because if you happen to contract COVID you will already be secluded within in your home and cannot harm anyone within your community. Another plus is that the steps within the test are quite simple and fast, so they do not take much time. CBS46 states, “tests require a quick swab inside each nostril, and results can be read in just 10 minutes. A free, private, and easy-to-use mobile application is available to help individuals in every step of test taking.”

Phoebe Notter, senior said, “I believe Covid test kits would be very beneficial for Fulton County, it would allow for more testing to be done to give a better statistic on the number of cases in Fulton.” It would also help determine future plans and certain actions to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Anyone over the age of two is eligible to take the test. If you are constantly exposed to others on a day-to-day basis, then this is an efficient way for you to stay safe. Before its too late, get your hands on a testing kit today.
