Country singer, Zach Bryan, is currently on his “Quittin’ Time Tour” and made his way locally to Atlanta on the weekend of Aug 10th. Many students at Roswell attened one of his two shows here and thoroughly enjoyed their time.
Junior Ana Arce says, “It was so exciting and worth the wait!”. Arce was able to enjoy the concert with her best friends, whom she bought the tickets with a year ago.
Getting tickets, however, was not as easy as it was to enjoy the show. Tickets were sold out and resold for hundreds, and many people struggled to find a way to purchase them. Senior Dylan Sanning says, “We originally got tickets in the nosebleeds section, and it was impossible to get them. We ended up being upgraded from nosebleeds to the 100’s section and it was so incredible to see.”
One unique aspect of Bryan’s shows, are he typically chooses an audience member or guest celebrity to come on stage to sing a song with him. Atlanta was no different. Many were waiting to see which other famous artist he might bring out due to the prior shows in other cities where he brought out artists like Noah Kahn or the Lumineers, among others, but Bryan chose a fan from the pit this time. He came up and sang “Heading South,” one of Bryan’s songs that kickstarted his career, with him and stunned the crowd.
The show itself ran for about an hour and a half, ending with the song “Revival” as the encore. Bryan makes sure to leave his audience in amazement with this song. For this specific show, Bryan shocked his fans by unexpectedly switching stages. The show ends with a bang when one of the members of Bryan’s band pretends to seize on stage and then jumps right into playing his instrument, leaving the crowd in awe.
While the Revival performance may have been the most elaborate, there were many favorite performances amongst the crowd. Arce said, “seeing Pink Skies live was by far my favorite part of the show. I also enjoyed revival, of course!” Sanning said, “I feel like the entire show was amazing, but seeing 28 was so amazing live, and screaming to revival with my best friends was the coolest thing ever.”
Unfortunately, Bryan recently announced that this tour will be his last. While this could change in the future, many were upset to hear the news. However, Bryan poured his heart, soul, and incredible voice into this tour, making the most memorable time for fans, leaving them fulfilled with the idea that they were able to experience the astonishing show Bryan and his band put on.
