Roswell Restaurant Week is back again, and this year includes more than 45 restaurants in the metro-Atlanta area. Once a year, our local restaurants partner up with Roswell INC and create creative and affordable prix menus (check out the menus here) to offer to the residents of Roswell.  

Roswell Restaurant Week, this year, will take place Jan. 24 to Feb. 2. For the first time, Roswell Restaurant Week is taking place during two weekends.

A variety of cuisines are offered this year. For those craving Mexican, PURE Taqueria and Fresco Cantina Grille are participating. Those wanting Thai will be able to go to Spice of Thai and Italian lovers can check out Osteria Mattone or Amalfi Ristorante. With the expanded lineup of participating restaurants this year, there is something for everyone.

The way Roswell Restaurant Week works is that each participating restaurant creates an individual prix menu of signature and unique dishes. Prices range from as low as $10 to as high as $45. Some restaurants offer different menus for lunch and dinner, while some have an “all day” menu.

Having the chance to participate in Roswell Restaurant Week, a friend and I headed over to Spice of Thai, a new participating member of the event. Their lunch prix menu was priced at $10 and diners got an egg roll, the choice between two soups, and the choice between two entrees.

“The food and service were good and I think that the deal was well worth the price. I would definitely participate again next year, because of the good deals for good food,” says Junior Patti Tropauer

 The next weekend, my dad and I tried out Lazaro’s for some Cuban cuisine. Their lunch prix menu was priced at $15 for three courses. For the first course I ordered the chicken croquettes and my dad ordered the plantain chips. For the second course we both got the Cuban sandwich, and for the third course (my favorite) we got Cuban coffees with guava and cheese pastelitos. The food was spectacular and for $15 we were able to get a whole feast and even had leftovers.

As usual, Roswell Restaurant Week did not fail to impress, and I look forward to next year’s event. Not only does this event give the people of Roswell some amazing deals on food, but also allows for the community to experience the soul of Roswell.
