A videogame called among us isn’t very new. It was released in 2018 but has recently gained massive popularity from people of all ages. The main reason for this is because it is offered to a large age demographic and sold for pc and mobile devices. It has also racked up over 31 million hours watched on game streaming site twitch.

How to play: Similar to another game many people know called Mafia, its setting is an outer space type theme. There are ten people in a game at a time and one person is the “Imposter” and their job is to kill everyone else without being found out. The other nine people are “crew members” and they have to complete tasks around the spaceship. If they complete all the tasks, then they win.

The imposter is given fake tasks to try and trick others. Someone can “call a meeting” (pressing a button on the middle of the map) and then the crew members can vote out who they think the “imposter” is. As the “imposter”, you can “sabotage” the game by closing the door and releasing all the oxygen and a meeting will occur to try and vote someone out.

I’d give this game an 8/10. I like how simple it is and how it is available to almost all ages. It is free on mobile devices which is always a plus. I’m taking a few points off because it is very repetitive having to do the same minor tasks every time. The ability to cheat is also a big downside when all you have to do is talk to the people you’re playing with.
