Starbucks has continued to release new drinks each couple of months, and their most recent release being the pistachio latte. At first thought, this does not seem very appealing. As a daily Starbucks-goer, this flavor would not be my go-to. But as soon as I saw it I had to try for myself. After the first sip, I was not impressed and my initial reaction was that it was pretty gross. But after a few more forceful sips, I decided it wasn’t all too bad. The flavor is quite nutty, I wouldn’t say it tastes like pistachios, but it has an odd flavor to it. I enjoy pistachios, but when it comes to the flavoring in other foods, it isn’t for me. It is definitely an acquired taste. It is easy to get used to and isn’t too bold of a flavor. Personally, I would not get it again and I would only recommend it to the few who know they like pistachio flavored things, such as ice cream. Overall, Starbucks does a good job of attracting customers with their new and out of the box items. This particular drink, however, I would recommend sitting out.
