Soccer season is underway

Boys’ and girls’ Roswell soccer tryouts took place the week of Jan 11. After the teams were selected, practice started the very next week. Varsity girls and boys have been practicing on the grass fields to allow for girls’ lacrosse tryouts on turf. Junior varsity teams are not allowed to practice until Feb 8 to limit the number of players on the field due to COVID-19.
Led by coaches Dardan Latifi and Gabriel Chapman, the varsity teams have big goals for the coming season. The first big event is a scrimmage at West Forsyth next Friday. Congratulations to the boys and girls who made the varsity and junior varsity soccer teams, and good luck this season!

Super excited for both the girl’s and boy’s varsity seasons this year and hope both teams will be able to have their entire season this year, since their season’s last year were cut short due to the emergence of the coronavirus.
