Girls’ soccer team have been doing great this season. The girls have won seven games so far and are on a roll after recently defeating Harrison, which is number one in Roswell’s division 7A.  As their season goes on, I talked with the goalkeeper of the team, junior Kristin Liquori, and she had a lot to say about their season so far.

As you know, soccer is a team effort and it involves communication.

“The communication on the field is just constant source of helping others do what they need to do for the team to be successful. Each position has certain things to tell the others to make the team work well together,” said Kristin.

Following that, soccer has some big plans this year.  “Making it to state.”

“We first need to take care of the region game,” said Kristin, when asked about the goals of the team for this year.  Following that, the boys varsity have also had a good season.

“We plan on winning state. That has been our main goal since the beginning of the season and that’s what we practice for every single day,” said junior Charlie Tropauer. Right now, their overall record is 6-2 and have a conference record of 2-0.

Although it has only been half the season for both teams, they both have the same mindset towards what their goals are and how they are going to reach those goals. Hopefully, the varsity Hornets will make their goals become a reality in the next couple of months as they help lead their teams along the right path.
