The Chattahoochee Nature Center is hosting the Enchanted Woodland Wonders family fun day on Sunday, December 15 from 2-6 p.m. Live reindeer will be brought in during the event, and guests will be able to see them from 2-5 p.m.

The event is free for members of the Chattahoochee Nature Center, and general admission for non-members is $10 for adults, $7 for seniors aged 65 or older and students 13-18, and $6 for children 3-12. Any children under 2 have free admission.

Visitors can enjoy a wide range of family-themed activities, such as reindeer games, story time, winter crafts, face painting, and hot coco around a campfire. Live reindeer will also be present for most of the day.

Visitors are also able to bring a picnic to the event, and there will be picnic tables and meadows at the event. Guests can also purchase food from local food trucks that will be at the event.

“I’ve never really done anything like this, but it looks very interesting,” says junior Connor Hawkins. “I’m excited about seeing what activities there are at the nature center.”

Enchanted Woodland Wonders also marks the grand opening of the Enchanted Woodland Trails special exhibit. Visitors are encouraged to explore the dozens of fairy houses and gnome homes along the trail. This exhibit will run from Sunday, December 15 2019 to Saturday, February 15 2020.
