Seeing Harry Styles’ “Love on Tour,” at Wembley Stadium this summer, in the first performance of his London return, was a moment I’ll remember for the rest of my life.

            The tour started Sep. 4, 2021, and although there were many opportunities where he played near home, I made a rashly pivotal decision. Rather than doing something simple, I decided to buy tickets to Wembley Stadium in London because seeing Harry Styles in his home city seemed like my intended destiny.  As the date slowly approached, I realized an actual plane ticket and hotel would be relatively important to finalize my plan.

On June 13, my London dream concert night began while I was walking out of the tube station. People were decked in feather boas, and sparkles leading up through the vendor booths on Olympic Way until finally I saw the main arc of Wembley Stadium. When I was walking into the stadium after the eight long months of anticipation, it felt like a surreal experience.

The openers, Madi Diaz and Wet Leg, both performed and then it was Harry’s turn to shine. The concert opens with his song “Daydreaming,” which made this moment exhilarating as the crowd’s cheers elevated and Harry began to run and skip onto the stage.

The set list lasting two hours, included the following songs: “Daydreaming,” “Golden,” “Adore You,” “Keep Driving,” “Daylight,” “She,” “Little Freak,” “Matilda,” “Satellite,” “Late Night Talking,” “Cinema,” “Music For a Sushi Restaurant,” “Treat People With Kindness,” “What Makes You Beautiful” (One Direction), “Grape Juice,” “Watermelon Sugar,” “Fine Line,” “Sign of the Times,” “Medicine” (unreleased song), “As It Was,” and lastly “Kiwi.”

Hearing the songs I had streamed and listened to so many times in the past performed live in one of the most famous cities in the world while venturing for the first time out of the U.S. made the music even more meaningful to me that night.

Leaving the concert, I couldn’t have had a happier experience. It truly felt like the most loving crowd of people all in one place. When I was walking back down Olympic Way and heading to the tube station, I engaged in another core memory from this trip. People continued to sing while very slowly inching closer to the station. I realized the show was over forever when I got back to my hotel and fell asleep at 2 a.m. Hopefully, this will be the first of many Harry Styles performances in my future.
